The 1797-BIC is an Allen-Bradley FLEX Ex Bus Isolator that allows users to connect standard FLEX input or output modules to intrinsically safe FLEX Ex modules in the same Input or Output group. Eight FLEX Ex device can be used as input or output on the module. This Allen Bradley module draws eighteen (18) to thirty-two (32) volts of direct current at 0.5 amperes of power and dissipates 1.2 watts. This device measures 87 mm x 75 mm x 94 mm. This module has an IS compatible separation mechanism that converts hazardous power to IS-safe power for one side of the bus receiver/transmitter circuitry.
