This is the 1794-IF8IH module by Allen-Bradley. This module is a HART analog module that is part of the FLEX I/O series. It is compatible with the HART 5 protocol and supports devices that are 2, 3, or 4 wire. This unit provides 8 single-ended inputs that are isolated from each other. The supported input current ranges are between 4 milliamperes and 20 milliamperes or 0 milliamperes to 20 milliamperes. The external DC voltage range is between 19.2 Volts to 31.2 Volts DC allowing for a 5 percent AC ripple. This module uses a Sigma-Delta conversion method and supports unipolar and bipolar resolutions. The 1794-IF8IH can present data in the Engineering Unit, Percent of Full Scale, and RAW/Proportional Count data formats. It is designed to provide an absolute accuracy of 0.1 percent full scale at 25 degrees Celsius, which can drift by 0.4 percent full scale between a temperature range of 0 degrees and 50 degrees Celsius. This unit comes calibrated from the manufacturer, however, the user can recalibrate it if required. Allen-Bradley recommends the use of this module with the 1794-TB3 and 1794-TB3S terminal base units. The 1794-IF8IH has a Flexbus current rating of 80 milliamperes at 5 Volts DC and is rated for a power dissipation of 4.8 Watts at 31.2 Volts DC. The maximum thermal dissipation rating is 16.4 BTU per hour. After being installed in the base, this module’s dimensions are 94 x 94 x 66 mm (3.7 x 3.7 x 2.6 in.)
