The 1794-ACN is an Allen-Bradley ControlNet adapter module. This unit is part of the FLEX I/O series. It supports up to eight I/O modules and provides a data transfer rate of up to 5 Megabits per second. This module has a nominal operating voltage of 24 volts DC with an input voltage range of 19.2 to 31.2 volts DC. It can connect to 32 analog output points or 64 analog input points. Alternatively, it supports connections to 256 digital points for input and output. The adapter module has one ControlNet BNC port built-in and uses ControlNet protocol version 1.25 for connecting to FLEX I/O modules. This unit is rated for a power consumption of 400 milliamperes and has a Flexbus output current rating of 640 milliamperes at a voltage of 5 volts DC. The maximum power dissipation is rated at 4.6 watts at 19.2 volts DC and the adapter module has a thermal dissipation rating of 15.7 BTU per hour. This module features indication lights which provide device status information. Indicators are provided for Comm A and B as well as I/O status. The unit has been tested for an isolation voltage of up to 850 volts DC for one second. Supported ControlNet RG-6/U Quad shield coaxial interface cables are provided by Allen-Bradley. A standard PVC cable is offered with the part number 1786-RG6, and a high-flex variant is also available with the part number 1786-RG6F/A. This module has approximate dimensions of 3.4 x 2.7 x 2.7 inches (87 x 69 x 69 millimeters) and supports mounting using a panel or a DIN rail.
