Part number 1791-OA16, which was designed and manufactured by the company known as Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation, is a discrete block I/O module that is powered by an alternating current (AC) source and has 16 outputs but lacks inputs. The outputs on the module are divided into two groups and have light emitting diode (LED) indicators to show the operators which output is active, and which is malfunctioning and causing errors. It comes with its own separate power supply unit and is compatible with a variety of PLCs (programmable logic controllers). At sixty (60) degrees Celsius, the maximum current per output is three hundred (300) milliamperes. The sourcing operating voltage of the module ranges from 20 to 132 volts AC (alternating current). The module power supply has an alternating current rating of eighty-five (85) to one hundred and thirty-two (132) volts at forty-seven (47) to sixty-three (63) hertz, as well as a current rating of one hundred and fifty (150) milliamperes at one hundred and twenty (120) volts AC (alternating current). From off to on, the output delay time is one (1) millisecond at sixty (60) hertz and one (1) millisecond at fifty (50) hertz, while the output delay time from on to off at sixty (60) hertz is 8.3 milliseconds and ten (10) milliseconds at fifty (50) hertz. This Allen Bradley device has a three (3)-milliampere off-state leakage current and a maximum on-state current of fifty (50) milliamperes per output. The surge current is ten (10) amperes for fifty (50) milliseconds, which can be repeated every two (2) seconds.
