The Rockwell Automation 1786-RG6F cable can be 2 different types of a coaxial cable: the standard cable and high-flex coax cable for use in ControlNet Industrial Networks. One of the differences between one and the other type of cable is that the high-flex coax cable is easier to install in those difficult trajectories that are common in some industrial facilities. The standard coax cable for ControlNet is identified by adding a letter “A” to the catalog number and the high-flex coax cable is identified by adding a letter “B.” Another difference between both types of 1786-RG6F coax cables is the higher attenuation of the high-flex coax cable when compared to the standard coax cable, which means that when the high-flex cable is being used, the total distance between the devices that it connects should be reduced.
