Allen-Bradley 1769-L30ER

The user-friendly 1769-L30ER is a CompactLogix programmable automation controller module. This processor module is equipped with communication ports for two Ethernet I/P cables and one USB. The programming languages compatible include relay ladder, structured text, function block and SFC. The module is capable of multi-node (up to 16) and point-to-point interface. Its primary communication port is Ethernet which can handle linear, ring and star topologies. The node type can be Human Machine Interface (HMI), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), database storage, converters, gateways, system controllers, and other compatible devices.

The prior method uses the utility tool that seeks unique IP address of the device and assigns it with the specified IP address. The controller module has LED indicators to communicate its status including RUN, OK, I/O, BAT, & FORCE. There are 8 modules that are I/O supported with a possibility of adding 3 banks. The mounting is on DIN rails or panel mounting. The module has a 1747-BA battery and copper-90 degrees Celsius rated wiring and wire size ranging from 22 to 14 AWG. The allowable operating temperature range is 0 to 60°C. It can withstand vibration of up to 5 g at 10 to 500 Hz under operating conditions with 0.030 in. peak to peak.

The 1769-L30ER is a controller module that is made by Allen-Bradley. This is an L3 controller that is included in the 5370 CompactLogix series. The controller module offers support for simultaneous operation of up to 8 I/O modules from the 1769 ControlLogix series. Further connections are also possible by using expansion cables to connect up to three expansion banks. It offers 1 Megabyte of user memory and provides connectivity through a Dual Ethernet port and one USB port. The embedded ports can also function as an embedded switch. It supports point to point and multi-node interfaces. Supported network topologies include the ring, star, and linear topologies. 16 modules at a time may be connected to the 1769-L30ER. The USB port can also be used to assign an IP address to the controller. The 1769-L30ER features integrated status indicators that are labeled I/O, OK, BAT, FORCE, and RUN. These LED indicators provide information about module status and data transfer status. The 1769-L30ER draws 225 milliamperes of current at 24 Volts DC. The module weighs approximately 0.31 kilograms (0.68 pounds) and is mounted via a DIN rail mount or by using a panel mounting. The module’s width is 55.00 millimeters (2.17 inches).
