The integrated switch in this unit allows it to support topologies including DLR, the traditional star, and the linear topologies. This unit features 16 sinking 24 Volt (Direct Current) digital inputs. Furthermore, it also comes with 16 sourcing digital output points at 24 Volts (Direct Current). It allows up to 6 local expansion modules to be connected for I/O.
At 5 volts (Direct Current), both the expansion module and the embedded I/O module require 1 ampere of current supply. The power dissipation for this unit is 11.5 Watts. The Allen-Bradley 1769-L16ER-BB1B can be programmed using either the RSLinx Classic v2.59 (Ed. 20. 20 or later). This advanced controller can successfully read many programming languages starting with SFC, Relay Ladder, Structured Text, and Functional Block. This processor module can handle up to 32 periodic or continuous tasks, each supporting up to 100 programs.
