The 1769-AENTR input/output module by Allen-Bradley is part of the Bulletin 1769 Compact I/O series. It is a chassis-based module that allows consumers to reduce their I/O spare parts inventory. It enables this by allowing the reuse of the 1769 I/O system even after an upgrade to newer series of CompactLogix controllers. This module simplifies the system architecture deployed by the operator and helps in lowering migration costs.
The 1769-AENTR’s applications include communication with the PanelView series and other human machine interface (HMI) devices, connecting to controllers for messaging functions, and for supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) applications. This unit features support for up to 96 TCP/IP connections and 128 Logical communications. It is rated for a current draw of 500 milliamperes and it has an isolation voltage of 50 volts, continuous. It has been tested and certified for up to 60 seconds at 710 volts DC with a basic insulation type.
It is recommended that the connection wire used for this module should comply with IEC 60603-7 standards. Using a 2 or 4 pair cable complying with Category 5e in the TIA 568-B.1 standard or a cable meeting Category 5 in the ISO/IEC 24702 standards is also recommended. The supported connector type is RJ45. The 1769-AENTR is certified by KC, Ex, RCM, CE, and c-UL-us. The 1769-AENTR has dimensions of 118 x 50 x 87 millimeters (4.65 x 1.97 x 3.43 inches).
