The 1764-MM3 is a memory module manufactured by Allen Bradley/Rockwell Automation as part of the MicroLogix 1500 module. This Allen Bradley memory module features a memory capacity of 32 kilobytes. The module is designed and intended to function as a backup module to help in storage of user programs as well as data. Allen Bradley 1764-MM3 memory provides a very high level of security. The users of this module have nothing to worry about in case of any problem because it protects both data files as well as the memory. What’s unique about this memory module is that it can perform auto recovery via power cycle. It features an operating temperature range of 0 - 60 degrees Celsius or 32 - 140 degrees Fahrenheit. The module also has a storage temperature range of approximately -40 - 85 degrees Celsius or -40 - 185 degrees Fahrenheit. The 1764-MM3 memory module can tolerate an operating shock of up to 30 g or 3 pulses, 11 milliseconds. Additionally, it features a non-operating shock of 50 g or 3 pulses, 11 milliseconds. Allen-Bradley 1764-MM3 memory module is designed for use in industrial environments with Level 2 Pollution in Category II applications according to the IEC 60664-1 standards. This module can work at an altitude of up to 2000 meters with no deration. When the terminal block cable is connected or disconnected or when the module is either inserted or discharged when the power is on, an electric arc is likely to occur causing an explosion in dangerous locations. Ensure that the area in which the maintenance is done is safe and that the power is removed.
