The 1761-CBL-PM02 cable is a communication cable that is manufactured by Allen-Bradley. This communication cable belongs to the MicroLogix 1000 series of industrial modules and components by Allen-Bradley. The Series C or latest versions of this Allen-Bradley communication cable are best suited for Class 1, Division 2 types of hazardous industrial environments applications. The total length of the cable is 2 meters or 6.5 feet, and it can be connected to the external power supply. This communication cable can be used for making different kinds of connections which includes the applications of channel 0 on an SLC 5/03, 5/04, or 5/05 processor to an RS-232 8-pin mini-DIN communication port on an AIC+ interface converter, and connections from MicroLogix 1000, MicroLogix 1200, and MicroLogix 1500 processors to RS-232 DB-9 DTE communication ports in AIC+ interface converters. This Allen-Bradley 1761-CBL-PM02 communication cable supports connections between a PanelView device with a NULL modem adapter and RS-232 8-pin mini-DIN communication port on an AIC+ interface converter and connections between a PC com port and the RS-232 8-pin mini-DIN communication port on an AIC+ interface converter. This communication cable can also support hardware handshaking if the Series B version is being used. This Allen-Bradley communication cable is not available during purchasing of this device, but the user can purchase the same separately and install it. This Allen Bradley communication cable can be used in DF1 master-slave network with a modem or DH-485 network. An external power supply is required for this cable unless the AIC+ interface converter is powered by a MicroLogix controller that is connected to the RS-232 port with a 1761-CBL-AM00 or 1761-CBL-HM02 cable.
