The 1756-IB16 is an I/O module from ControlLogix DC series with a 16-point input type, a voltage category of 12/24 Volts DC sink, and an operating voltage range of 10 to 31.2 Volts DC. The input timestamps are accurate within 100 microseconds for sequence of event modules and within 200 microseconds for all other modules. The RTB keying is user-defined. The input delay from off-to-on for hardware is 290 microseconds nominally and can be up to 1 millisecond along with the additional filter time. The user can select filter time from 0, 1, or 2 milliseconds. The input delay from on-to-off is 700 microseconds nominally and 2 milliseconds maximum with the added filter time. The user selectable filter time for this can be 0, 1, 2, 9, or 18 milliseconds. The current draw is 100 milliamperes at 5.1 Volts and 2 milliamperes at 24 Volts. The backplane power is 0.56 Watts. The maximum power dissipation is 5.1 Watts at 60 degrees Celsius (140 degrees Fahrenheit). The thermal dissipation rate is 17.39 British Thermal Units (BTU) per hour. The off-state voltage is 5 Volts at maximum and the current is 1.5 Amperes. The on-state current can be as low as 2 milliamperes at 10 Volts DC and as high as 10 milliamperes at 31.2 Volts DC. The inrush current limit is 250 milliamperes peak (decaying to less than 37% in 22 milliseconds without activation). The input impedance is up to 3.12 kilo-ohms at 31.2 Volts DC.
