The 1756-IA32 is an I/O module from the ControlLogix series with a 32-point input type and power requirement of 74 to 132 Volts of alternating current. The module is mounted in a ControlLogix chassis and requires removable terminal block (RTB) or a Bulletin 1492 wiring interface module (IFM) to integrate the wiring with the system. The input data contains general fault and input data while the CST timestamped input data includes input data with the value of the system clock from its local chassis in case of any change in the input data. The 'listen-only' communication formats have the same format and they are connected to listen-only type connections. The input delay in hardware for off-to-on is 1.5 milliseconds nominally and 10 milliseconds maximum with additional filter time. There is a user selectable filter time of 1 or 2 milliseconds. For on-to-off, the hardware delay reduces to 1 millisecond with an 8 millisecond maximum and the user selected filter time is 9 or 18 milliseconds. The current draw is 165 milliamperes at 5.1 Volts and 2 milliamperes at 24 Volts. The total backplane power is 0.9 Watts. The module power dissipation is 6.1 Watts at 60 degrees Celsius (140 degrees Fahrenheit). The thermal dissipation rate is 20.8 British Thermal Units (BTU) per hour. The off-state voltage is 20 Volts maximum while maximum current value is 2.5 milliamperes. The on state minimum current is 5 milliamperes at 74 Volts of alternating current and maximum of 15 milliamperes at 132 Volts of alternating current. The maximum inrush current is 390 milliamperes.
The 1756-IA32 is made by Allen-Bradley with 32 analog inputs that have been divided into two channels. It is an AC input module that provides AC input signals in the range of 74-132VAC and is typically used to interface input or signaling devices. This is an input module with a high density. Devices are attached using the 1756 -TBCH and -TBS6H RTB housings. Bulletin 1492 prewired cables with specific designations are also available to operators. On the front side of the module, is a locking tab that secures the selected RTB or IFM part. Moreover, It also supports hot-swapping while powered. The 1756-IA32 is secured by a continuous isolation voltage of 250 volts AC. It is powered by a 120V AC supply with a 50 to 60 Hz frequency. At 24 volts, the module draws 2 milliamperes and 165 milliamperes at 5.1 volts. The operating voltage is between 74 and 132 volts AC, and the frequency is between 47 and 63 Hertz. The 1756-IA32 modules have a total backplane power of 0.9 Watts and a maximum inrush current of 390 milliamperes. The input delay timings from screw to backplane are included in this module. The hardware delay from off to on is 1.5 milliseconds nominally or 10 milliseconds maximum plus user-selectable filter time (1 millisecond or 2 milliseconds), while the hardware delay from on to off is 1 millisecond nominally or 8 milliseconds maximum plus user-selectable filter time (1 millisecond or 2 milliseconds). The maximum power dissipation is 6.1 Watts at 60 degrees Celsius. The Studio 5000 Logix Designer is available to program the 1756-IA32's settings, as well as all other ControlLogix PLC devices. Users can use this module in environments where the ambient temperature is less than 140°F because the enclosure is IP20 rated. This module renders users 32 LED indications on the front to assist with debugging irregularities.
