The 1756-EN2TR is a communication module that belongs to the 1756 ControlLogix series. This communication module is manufactured by Allen Bradley to create communication links between various electrical machines. This logic communication module operates as an Ethernet or IP network, providing an Ethernet and IP bridge with an embedded switch and copper supports. The 1756-EN2TR module offers motion of eight (8) axes with connecting ability to modules and drives. It can work as an adapter for remote links and a communication device with other Ethernet and IP devices. It operates as a bridge to route messages and signal to other devices or networks.
The 1756-EN2TR communication module offers two (2) Ethernet RJ-45 Category 5 ports and one USB 1.1, full speed, 12 Mbps port. Shielded and unshielded cable can be used depending on preference of the user. The logic communication module supports linear topologies and device level ring topologies. It has 128 TCP connections and 256 CIP connections. A current draw of 1 Ampere at 5.1 Volts DC with a power dissipation of 5.1 Watts and an isolation voltage of 30 Volts is offered by the communication module. The module can work in environmental conditions between zero (0) and 60 degrees Celsius and in a relative humidity between 5 and 95% without condensation. The operator can route messages by using up to four (4) chassis and eight (8) communication hops. A ControlLogix controller is not required in the chassis. Ethernet/IP is an open industrial networking standard that supports real time I/O messaging and message exchange. It uses off-the-shelf Ethernet communication chips and physical media.
This communication module is 1756-EN2TR from the 1756 ControlLogix series which is designed by Allen-Bradley. This module is manufactured in a way that renders it configurable with any suitable application. Aside from that, it has an isolation voltage of 30V, along with a 1 Amp current draw at 5.1V DC, and power dissipation of 5.1W. The device is mostly used to create interaction linkages between various devices. The 1756-EN2TR provides an Ethernet and IP bridge with an inbuilt switch and copper supports, essentially acting as an Ethernet or IP network. This module also allows you to send messages to other Allen-Bradley controllers including the SLC 500, PLC-5, and MicroLogix. It can also communicate with Allen-own Bradley's Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), and third-party devices. It can also be partnered with third-party gateways, converters, and devices, as well as partner modules. This module also provides embedded Ethernet connectivity of computers and programming workstations, eliminating the need for costly communication adapters to connect to the controller. In addition to connecting modules and drives, this module serves as a remote link adapter, a communication device with other Ethernet and IP devices, along with being a bridge to interact with other devices or networks. The module includes two Ethernet RJ45 Category 5 ports along with one USB 1.1 12 Mbps interface. Wires can be customized by the customers. The module also supports both DLR and linear topologies. This reliable module can run without condensing at various environmental parameters.
