This 1756-DMD30 is a single-slot industrial ControlLogix module which enables device interfacing with the Reliance Electric Distributed Power System (DPS) equipment. It is manufactured and branded by Allen-Bradley and Rockwell Automation. Each 1756-DMD30 module interfaces with an individual Power Module Interface (PMI) chassis and it performs outer torque, position, and velocity control. The 1756-DMD30 module by Allen-Bradley and Rockwell Automation works with SD3000 Six (6) Pulse DPS equipment system which is an S6 DC drive and an S6R resolver and with the SD3000 12-Pulse equipment system which is an S12 DC drive and S12R resolver.
The 1756-DMD30 ControlLogix module is installed inside a ControlLogix chassis and it communicates to the SynchLink nodes through the fiber optic network. The 1756-DMD30 module also connects to PMI chassis through fiber optic cables. The 1756-DMD30 module current consumption rating at 24 Volts DC is 3 milliamperes and at 5.1 Volts DC, it is 1.35 Amperes. The peak module power dissipation is 6.96 Watts and the thermal dissipation is 23.7 British Thermal Units (BTU) per hour.
