The 1756-A7 ControlLogix Chassis has a backplane current range of 1.5 to 15 Amperes at 1.2 to 24 Volts of direct current for Series B. It has an operating temperature range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius (0 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit) and the surrounding air cannot exceed 60 degrees Celsius (140 degrees Fahrenheit). The enclosure is open style and it has seven slots. The Series C chassis has the same backplane current range but it has a larger operating temperature range of -25 to 60 degrees Celsius (-13 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit). The power dissipation rate is 4.5 Watts and it can only be mounted horizontally. The cabinet size is 50.8 x 60.9 x 20.3 centimeters (24 x 30 x 8 inches) and it weighs approximately 1.10 kilograms (2.4 pounds). The nonoperating temperature range is -40 to 85 degrees Celsius (-40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit) with an allowable relative humidity within 5 to 95% without any condensation. The chassis can operate with vibration of up to 2 g at 10 to 500 Hertz and shock of up to 30 g. When in storage or transport, the shock threshold is larger; up to 50 g. It has ESD immunity of 6000 Volts for contact discharges and 8000 Volts for air discharges. The chassis is UL Listed industrial control equipment certified for US and Canada. It is classified for Class I, Division 2 Groups A, B, C, and D hazardous locations. It is also CSA Certified process control equipment and FM approved equipment.
