The 2711P-T6C20A is a touch screen terminal in series D, from the impressive Panelview Plus 600 series. The series D touchscreen terminal, manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation, comes with fixed keypads which contain 10 function keys: a numeric keypad, a replaceable ID label, an enter key, a backspace key, a shift key, navigation key and a tab key. It can be programmed to initiate any function using the function keys (F1-F10). The user can operate the keypad with or without protective gloves. A plastic touchscreen stylus should be used to operate it. The plastic touchscreen stylus prevents damages because it has a tip radius of 1.3 millimeters.

The 2711P-T6C20A Series D touchscreen comes with a 5.5 inches color display; it has an RS-232 and Ethernet network, which are the two different communication networks attached to it. It can be converted to a modular communication interface using these two network options. Once it is connected to multiple devices, it is capable of performing any change in the variable input at any time by any operator. If the terminal is going to be around different pieces of equipment, it is advisable to put it in some form of enclosure. Once that is done, there should be some space by the side of the enclosure for the heat generated to escape. This terminal has a maximum operating temperature of 55 degrees Celsius. For those who wish to install this device outdoors, it is advised be kept away from direct sunlight.
