Allen-Bradley's 2711P-K4C5D is a PanelView Plus 400 terminal. It offers an easy solution for operator interface with devices. This terminal has a color active matrix LCD with 3.5 inches of diagonal display size. It has a display area of 2.8 inches x 2.1 inches. The terminal comes outfitted with a keypad that is used to register operator inputs. The keypad has numerical keys, 8 programmable keys, and navigation keys. The terminal has a base unit with an RS-232 serial communication port and a USB port for adding external devices such as a printer, modem, scanners, and other peripherals. RS-232 allows full-duplex communication for PLC systems via modem connections. It also enables DH485 communication via serial connections. The 2711P-K4C5D also supports point-to-point protocol and the uploading/downloading of files. MicroLogix, SLC500, 5/01, 5/02, and Micro800 are the most typically used controllers. However, this RS-232 port is not electrically isolated. The terminal has an application flash memory of 5 MB and a CompactFlash slot (max. 512 MB). The terminal requires a DC power supply of 18 to 32 VDC and has a max power consumption of 25 W.
