The Allen-Bradley 2711-T10C1 terminal is an integral part of the PanelView 100 Color Terminal series and is equipped with a series of interactive and robust features that enhance the user’s experience. The terminal supports a vibrant color display that features a fixed palette of 32 standard EGA colors. The screen is highly sensitive to touch and improves the degree of interaction between the user and the components of the machine. The touch screen can also be used to control and monitor the functions and status of the components of the system and enables the user to direct the machine to perform tasks with an enhanced degree of flexibility and productivity. A standard RS-232 serial port is provided to enable the devices to communicate with remote devices such as scanners and printers. The port can be used to connect the operator panel to a computer and enhance its functionality. The 2711-T10C1 operator panel belongs to Rockwell Automation’s reputed color display panels and houses a screen with an impressive display resolution of 640 x 480 pixels. The screen consists of screen objects that are sensitive to touch and can be used to actuate machine functions. Some screen objects can also function as push buttons and offer a convenient alternative to the conventional hardware used to carry out these operations. The touch cells are arranged across 24 cells and 16 rows and create applications when they are aligned with specific screen objects.
