The 2711-K9C16L1 is a PanelView 900 operator terminal manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation as part of the Bulletin 2711 PanelView 900 Standard Operator Terminals series. These units are designed to allow the operator to manage various machine functions through the F1 to F16 function keys. These keys are used for initiating different functions on the terminal display, along with navigational cursor keys used for selecting the listed object on the screen. The terminal also uses numerical keys that are used to input numbers as well as decimal parameters. Allen Bradley 2711-K9C16L1 terminal comes with color indicator lights where red indicates the fault status, and green indicates the CMM status showing the operational status and mode. The operator can view the machine status via the active color matrix, thin-film display. Allen Bradley 2711-K9C16L1 terminal features the RS-232 communication port that enables connection to the PLCs and MicroLogix Controller while also makes it easy to link the terminal with a PC. It also comes with an RS-232 printer port for connecting to a printer and enables the transfer of files. Most terminals in the PanelView 900 series have an extra slot for additional external memory card. The 2711-K9C16L1 terminal is a DC-rated operator interface with an input voltage range of 18 – 32 volts DC as well as a maximum power output of 50 watts at 2.1 amperes and a nominal voltage of 24 Volts DC.
