The Allen-Bradley 2711-K10C9L1 is a sophisticated operator terminal and is part of the Allen-Bradley / Rockwell Automation PanelView 1000 Color Terminals. The operator terminal can be used in a multitude of applications in industries and factories. The panel is fitted with a 10.1-inch color display which offers the user a vibrant and interactive interface. The panel uses a stainless-steel domed membrane-type keypad as the input mechanism. The operator terminal weighs just over 6 pounds. It can sustain up to 2,000 Hertz of vibrations during operation. The terminal also features a non-volatile memory and RAM that can be used to store data, files, and applications. The terminal has an RS-232 printer port which can be used to connect to a printer and print logs and data while the terminal is performing its operations. The operator terminal is also equipped with an RS-232 (DH-485) port which can be used to interact with other controllers such as the SLC 5/03, 5/04, or 5/05 controllers. It can also interact with a MicroLogix controller through an AIC+ link coupler. This port can also connect to a personal computer that allows the user to easily transfer files to and from the operator terminal. The entire operator terminal is housed within a NEMA 12/13 or 4X enclosure which provides durability and sufficient ventilation for cooling the operator terminal. Status indicators are present within the terminal in the form of red and green LEDs. The behavior of these LEDs helps the user to identify and troubleshoot issues that could affect the operation of the control system.
