The Allen-Bradley 2711-K10C8 electronic terminal is highly versatile and supports a vast array of user-controlled applications. The device can be used to exercise an improved degree of control over the user's system components and allows the user to interact with the control system in a flexible manner. The panel possesses the ability to communicate with a range of local and remote devices over a configured network. The DH+ network enables the operator to use the panel for a variety of machine control applications. A dedicated RS-232 printer port is provided to offer the user the ability to connect the system components to a remote I/O device such as a printer or a scanner. The primary function of the panel is to ensure an interactive interface between the user and the machine. The 2711-K10C8 terminal is an efficient user-controlled device and improves the degree of synchronization within the control system. The terminals function seamlessly in an environment with a maximum operating temperature of 135°C. Adequate care must be taken to ensure that the device is not exposed to gaseous elements with ignition temperatures below the maximum operating temperature. In order to facilitate the installation of the legend strip and the memory card, sufficient clearances must be provided while mounting the device. A memory card slot is provided with the terminal package, and a back clearance is essential if a memory card must be used in conjunction with the device.
