The 25-COMM-D is an adapter module made by Allen-Bradley. It allows PowerFlex drives and DSI hosts to connect to the DeviceNet network. It draws power from the connected drive and the network. This adapter supports Multi-Drive and also features faulted node recovery. It features eight (8) 16-bit data transfer links and has a maximum data transfer speed of 500 Kbps with support provided for Autobaud. Compatible communication protocols include Explicit Messaging and UCMM.

The 25-COMM-D is a DeviceNet communications adapter that is compatible with drives in the PowerFlex 525 series. It is made by Allen-Bradley. This unit is intended to be installed in the back cover of the drive. It also has a Multi-Drive feature that allows it to connect to DSI hosts and other supported PowerFlex drives. This unit draws power from the drive it is connected to, as well as from the network. The input current from the drive is rated at 150 milliamperes at a voltage of 5 volts. The current draw from the DeviceNet network is 60 milliamperes at 24 volts. The adapter features integrated status indicators that provide device and connection status information. It can transfer data at 120, 250, and 500 kilobits per second and also supports Autobaud functionality, which is set as the default. The adapter uses 16-bit data links. Four (4) configurable data links are available for writing data, and four (4) more for reading data. The module offers support for the Unconnected Message Manager (UCMM) and Explicit Messaging protocols. It also offers faulted node recovery. An event queue feature is also offered for diagnostic purposes, allowing the user to review notable changes in module operation. This module has physical dimensions that measure 21 millimeters x 141.8 millimeters x 48.4 millimeters, or 0.83 inches x 5.58 inches x 1.9 inches. It has built-in status indicators for reporting device and network statuses. The approximate weight of this unit is 39 grams, or the equivalent of 1.38 ounces.
