The 2080-LC30-16QWB is a programmable controller from Allen-Bradley and is a part of their Micro 830 series of controllers. This unit has 4 high speed DC inputs, 6 standard DC inputs, and 6 relay standard outputs. High speed DC inputs are connected to embedded counter (100 kHz), and it can be useful for motion control applications. Standard DC input is nominal 24V DC and it has 7.66 milliamperes nominal current, for the ON state and maximum OFF state current is 1.5 milliamperes. The outputs of the module are standard relays that must be in a range of minimum 5V DC or 5V AC up to maximum of 125V DC or 265V AC. That relays should be protected to avoid arching and the level of protection depends on the load type and applied voltage. For 24V DC the load current should not exceed 1 amp and for 120V AC the continuous current must be less than 2 amps. The ladder program for the controller is entered using handheld programmable device and is saved into its memory. The memory space for instructions is a maximum of one thousand words of 12 (twelve) bits each, and this device has a maximum of eight (8) kb of space for data. In order to avoid loss of data during power down or hardware failure the processor uses retentive and non retentive memory. The temperature range for the operation of this product is negative four to one hundred and forty-nine (-4 to 149) degrees Fahrenheit, or -20 to 65 degrees Celsius, and should remain in an environment that has a relative humidity ranging from 5% to 95%.
