Part number 2080-LC30-16AWB is a programmable controller from Allen-Bradley's Micro 830 series of products. This controller has 10 standard AC inputs and 6 relay outputs. The input terminals are separated into 2 groups (6 + 4), of which every group have its own common terminal. Inputs are connected to 120 volt AC with 16 milliamperes current rate while the nominal on state current is 12 milliamperes. The memory space for PLC instructions has maximum 1k words of 12 bits each and maximum 8 kb for data space. Generally speaking, the memory has 2 parts, retentive and non retentive, in order to keep the program instructions and data on safe place in case of power down or hardware fault. The output relays especially, needs surge protection and for 24V DC, the maximum continuous output current is 1 ampere. The output relays must not exceed their current limits such as minimum output voltage 5V DC or 5V AC, maximum output voltage 125V DC or 265V AC, minimum load current 10 milliamperes and maximum load current 2.0 amps. Especially, when inductive loads are used, the surge suppressors must be installed across the relay contacts. The operating temperature is -4 to 149 degrees Fahrenheit. The unit supports many interfaces and protocols and using them it is also possible to connect to DeviceNet and/or Ethernet/IP network.
