2071-AP8 is a Kinetix 3 component alternating current (AC) servo drive by Allen Bradley. It offers applications with an easy and simple solution to meet the continuous output power requirement of 800 watts and requires minimum maintenance. For its operation, it needs an AC voltage supply with a terminal voltage of 240 volts AC rms input. This drive can be operated with 1-phase, as well as a 3-phase, supply. It can supply a continuous peak current of 7.07 amperes.
2071-AP8 comes with the main power indicator and a 7-segment status indicator. It can take motor feedback signals from different device types, such as Tamagawa 17-bit Serial and Generic TTL Incremental with Hall. This servo drive has a 300-milliampere power supply current, a power supply voltage range of 5.08 to 5.545, and a single-ended thermostat. It has ten (10) digital inputs that are assignable and share a common 24 volts CM power supply. It contains three (3) digital optically isolated outputs on an IOD connector and four (4) alarm outputs. It also offers two (2) dedicated single-ended analog inputs and two (2) analog outputs. Two (2) serial interface connectors, Comm0A and Comm0B, are present on 2071-AP8. They can enable RS-232 and RS-485 communication protocols among the drive and a PC.
2071-AP8 can operate in grounded, as well as ungrounded, environments. It also contains shunt power terminals for the connection of the shunt resistor. For the operator interface, it has a keypad and a 7-segment display. The drive status display, as well as monitoring, variable adjustments, and functional commands, are all accessible through the operator interface.
