The system device 1394C-JST05-L was manufactured by Allen-Bradley, incorporating it in a system for motion command, namely the digital AC multi-axis system for motion command. Allen-Bradley offers two different types of GMC system modules: standard and turbo. This graphical system for motion command is part of the basic GMC system. Three phases, 380-460 volts alternating current (AC), 50 to 60 hertz, and a 6.5 ampere input current are the electrical demands of this member of the 1394 product bulletin. The output voltage of this module is 530/680 volts direct current (DC) with the output power being a constant 4 to 5 kilowatts of power output and peak power of 28 kilowatts. The output current is 7.36 amperes constant and 15.0 amperes peak. This module's limit of short circuit current is 10,000 amperes. This device only renders a single axis but offers two additional channels of auxiliary inputs. Incremental Allen-Bradley quad encoding system with visually discrete channels (differential and marker) are the applicable encoder inputs for this 1394C-JST05-L system device. Also applicable is the AM26LS32 or comparable encoder interface IC. This Allen-Bradley device comes in three different series: A, B, and C. The series C device is a more advanced device of series. The 1394C-JST05-L device includes all of the IMC S class compact motion controller's features, as well as including power conversion. Auxiliary encoders along with RS-232/422 serial communication as well as flex input/output and remote input/output are some of the connections that this Allen-Bradley device renders. Some additional connections that are made available by this device are data highway protocol and axis-links.
