The 1336-WB009 is a dynamic brake chopper by Allen-Bradley, as part of the 1336 series. It has an AC voltage range of 380 volts to 415 volts or 460 volts. Additionally, the chopper brake has a 750-volt DC (direct current) current rating of 9.0 amperes DC, a peak transistor current of 25 amperes, and a dynamic brake resistance of 37 ohms. Aside from its power rating, the unit is lightweight at a weight of only 2.2 kilograms (kg) and is suitable for use with an induction motor. It works with the 1336 family of frequency adjustment drives, including the Plus, Plus II, Force, and Impact line modules, as well as several powerless devices. Furthermore, this chopper brake could potentially be used to restore a set frequency to regenerative machines, whether or not they waste regenerated energy on a regular basis. This module, on the other hand, provides secure braking capabilities. Also, it is permanently fused, for example, to secure braking components. Second, the TLL compliant brake fault contact closes when power is applied to the brake unit, but it opens when a brake fault occurs or when power is disengaged. As a result, the brake contact will also open if the fuse blows or the thermostat trips due to an excessive ambient temperature caused by a heavy-duty cycle, torque setting, or overloading. It's worth noting that the dynamic brake chopper can work without derating at a maximum height of 1000 meters. Furthermore, the IP00 open-type enclosure allows it to be utilized in environments free of non-corrosive materials, hazardous dust, vapor, gas, or fluids.
