The Allen-Bradley 1336-MOD-KC050 comes with a voltage rating of 500/575/600 VAC. It is mostly used in industries to increase a drive’s braking torque capacity. This braking module from the Allen-Bradley D Series of products can boost the initial torque of modules from 20%-100% with high effectiveness. Along with boosting the drive torque, the Allen-Bradley 1336-MOD-KC050 also helps with the excessive dissipation of power in the brake resistors. This heavy-duty brake will stay dormant until it detects excessive energy dissipation. Along with constantly monitoring the DC bus, this module will also support the smooth functioning of parallel drives. In such cases, only one brake will stay active. The Allen-Bradley 1336-MOD-KC050 easily stands out from the crowd as it comes with a DC power light. Not many heavy-duty braking gears out there have this feature. All the dynamic brakes on this module come with this feature. The dynamic brakes will only activate when the DC bus voltage of the connected motors exceeds the 40 volts DC rating. When it comes to driver rating, the Allen-Bradley 1336-MOD-KC050 features a rating of C040 to C060. The brake module is rated for NEMA Type 1/IP20 enclosures. Just like any other industrial dynamic break in the market, it should be mounted separately from a 1336 drive. Furthermore, for a longer life span, this gate brake should be installed where it is not exposed to any sort of external hazards such as dust, vapor, or gas. The module is rated to operate without derating in altitudes up to 3,300 ft (1,000 m).
