The Allen-Bradley 1336-GM6 is an enhanced DeviceNet communication module manufactured by Rockwell Automation. The communication model is 4.5 inches long, 2.8 inches wide and 0.5 inches deep. It weighs 1.8 ounces or 51 grams. The model has a power consumption rating of 150 milliamperes at a rated voltage of 5 volts when the input voltage is supplied from the drive control board. The device exhibits a power consumption rating of 60 milliamperes at a rated voltage of 24 volts when the input voltage is supplied through the DeviceNet module. It can be operated at temperatures ranging from 0° Celsius to 55° Celsius and can be stored at temperatures ranging from -40° Celsius to 85° Celsius. The module is also compliant to UL 508 and CUL, as per the European Union EMC and Low Voltage Directives.

The Allen-Bradley 1336-GM6 module can be used to enable several 1336 Drives such as Plus, Plus II, Impact, and Force. The device also facilitates a connection between these drives and the DeviceNet data communication highway. This is a communication adapter that is installed directly to the main board of the 1336 drive. This communication adapter may also be included as a pre-installed option when ordering the 1336 module by including “GM6” suffix at the end of the part number. This adapter eliminates the need for an external gateway such as 1336-GU6. The adapter can be connected directly to drive and this direct connection eliminates the need for intermediate components. The adapter connects to the SCANport product via the internal SCANport connector.
