The 1305-BA06A is an Adjustable Frequency AC Drive manufactured by Allen Bradley/Rockwell Automation as part of the 1305 AC Drives series. It is specially designed and intended to regulate the three-phase induction motors in industrial machines. The drive has a motor power rating of 2.2 kilowatts or 3.0 horsepower) with an output current of 6.0 amperes. It also features a variable output voltage that can be adjusted from 0 volts to around 460 volts. It has a scan port with a maximum of 250 milliamps, as well as an output frequency range of 0 – 400 hertz and input frequency range of 50 – 60 hertz. Allen Bradley 1305-BA06A drive has an input power of 4.6 kilovolts AC with an operational voltage range of 340 – 500 volts, as well as a total power dissipation of 73 watts and machine efficiency of 97.5 percent. It is specifically designed and manufactured for usage and implementation in machines for industrial production. In a typical application, the machine has one main AC induction motor which is connected with its speed control unit. That unit has to provide stable operation especially programmed accelerating and decelerating times, forward and reverse movement, jogging possibility (manual start, speed changing, and stopping the machine for testing purposes), and speed and torque programming or remote control while the machine is in production. The 1305-BA06A has a front panel with a display and parameters for the above functions, and it can be entered locally and remotely using programmable devices. Using the programmed parameters, the drive will send a modulated signal, the output frequency of 0 - 400 Hz, and output power of 3 HP ( 340-500V AC, 3-phase,47-63 Hz) to the motor. Also, abnormal situations will be detected and reported to the PLC controller to take the appropriate action. The 1305-BA06A also comes with protective features, overload protection, DC-monitored voltage, and a temperature sensor to prevent exceeding maximum level. The mains voltage also must be protected from unwanted drive harmonic frequencies using special EMC filters. This drive will display the exact fault message on the LCD when a fault occurs. The relative humidity range should be between 0 and 95% (non-condensing), and the maximum operating temperature is 122 degrees Fahrenheit. The drive is rated for IP30 enclosures.
