The 1300-DHT is a remote handheld terminal by Allen-Bradley. This terminal is widely used with industrial equipment in different industries and setups. It has a menu that gives easy access to the operators and users. Operators may set a password on the terminal very easily that ensures security of the whole system. Moreover, there is an option to log out once we have given a command to the system. After entering the command, the user logs out of the system. Different parameters can be entered and changed with the help of this handheld terminal. One can also perform the drive set and term setup installation using this terminal. There is a sixteen (16) character text display present for each parameter entered. Different units can be displayed on this terminal according to the need of the task and the user. The password unlocks the device and allows the operator or user to get access of all the functions of the terminal. Once the device is unlocked, the operator may enter the programming mode or the unlimited mode. There are a number of modes on this terminal to choose from. These modes include the display mode, run mode and the parameter mode. When the operator activates the display mode, after all startup checks, the monitor mode is displayed. When this is not activated, the main menu screens are visible after startup checks. In parameter mode, limited access is available. The purpose of the run mode is essentially to enable and run the control functions of the device.
